Overview: All students deserve learning opportunities which engage, challenge and extend their individual interests and needs. Hastings Secondary College will provide an overview of a suite of unique programs we have designed and implemented under the umbrella of HASTINGS FLO (Flexible Learning Opportunities) to increase engagement for every Stage 4 and Stage 5 student. These include a Zenith program for high achievers, Academies in Sport, STEM and Creative Industries and the LEAP program for an alternate learning environment. Key aspects of the change process will be presented, including the role of leadership, investment of staff, professional collaboration across the college, a comprehensive professional learning program and community partnerships.
